How do the Efficacy and Safety scores work?
Every product receives a brutally honest score out of 5.0. The Efficacy Score measures if the product contains enough "Gold Standard" active ingredients to actually work. The Safety Score acts as a skincare toxicity scale, penalizing products that use harsh alcohols, volatile essential oils, or potential allergens.
Can DemythSkin help me find skincare dupes?
Absolutely. If a luxury serum gets a low efficacy score or has a terrible price-to-performance ratio, our skincare dupes finder algorithm will suggest highly-rated alternatives. We point you toward more affordable products that contain the same (or better) active ingredients.
