How We Score Products

Efficacy Score (0 – 10)

Measures how likely a formulation is to deliver its claimed results, based on the clinical evidence behind each active ingredient, its concentration positioning in the INCI list, and ingredient synergy. Safety Score (0 – 10)

Scores are not subjective opinions. They are computed from a weighted formula that maps every ingredient to one of five clinical evidence tiers (see below), then factors in INCI positioning, known interactions, and red-flag ingredients. The 5-Tier Ingredient Classification
